SOLDA bull elk bugles on a cool autumn morning. This painting was done as a study to get the position of the bull correct for a larger painting. Currently, I have two larger elk paintings in progress and painting them makes me long for crisp fall mornings. Elk bugles are one of my favorites sounds in nature and chasing these animals is always exciting especially when there is a close encounter!
